Print your own
Tax Forms from IRS to Inland Revenue
In order to transfer your tax information you
need the right documents. It would be terrible to make an
application for a tax refund only to find that it was filed on
the wrong form. Though many tax forms can be filed
electronically still many taxpayers file their income tax
return on paper. Now it is possible to find most tax forms in a
PDF format that can be easily completed on the screen and then
you can print your own tax return.

Do your tax
forms measure up?
First choose
the right tax forms
In case you need tax forms to file a tax
return with the IRS your choice may be not so simple. My
experience has been that the best basic tax form to use is the
1040. That is becasue the other tax forms are limited in the
opportunities for tax deductions and credits that can save you
money. So you are better of being educated about the potential
for deductions and credits that the tax forms offer, after all
you are here to learn how different tax forms can save you
money. In case you were considering using the other tax forms
consider that using tax forms 1040EZ and 1040A do not allow you
to get a benefit for being over 65, having dependents or
student loans as well as itemized deductions.

After forms think publications
It really will not help to have the right
forms and then fill them out with the wrong information. There
is a reason why many people goe to a CPA to heve their tax
forms filled out, and it is not just because their forms come
in a neat little folder when the forms are completed. So if you
are intent on saving money and plan on completing your forms on
your own then make sure to also get some tax publications.
There are some very good publications on the IRS web site that
can help you fill out your forms and save money on your taxes.
Though you may consider having a CPA or tax prepaper fill out
your forms after you see the average amount of time it will
take to fill out these forms ( mos IRS publications and
instructions provide the amount of time it should take to fill
out the forms).
Collect your
forms
The next step is to gather your forms, that
means all the forms that you will need. Make sure that you have
all the forms related to each line of the tax return. For
example your 1040 may require forms 4562 or Schedule A . If it
possible you should look for printable tax forms that can be
completed on the computer and then printed. The IRS will
appreciate it when you file your tax return and it is neat and
legible rather than scribbled on forms.
Print your own
forms
This may seem obvious though we are all
entitled to our share of mistakes. So if you forgot that your
printer is not working what should you do with your forms. You
may consider emailing your forms to a freind whose printer is
working in pdf format. In case the information is sensitive and
you do not want to show your forms to your friends ( it is
suprising how many people will ask you for a loan when they saw
your tax forms ), consider sending it to Kinkos or the local
print shop.
